Community Allotment

Always wanted an allotment? Fancy growing the veg you cook with? Want to meet neighbours & build community bridges?

The Community Allotment is a Flourish Space centred around growing food, building relationships, and connecting with the natural environment. It offers a shared space where people can come together to cultivate not only plants, but also community, wellbeing, and a sense of belonging.

Rooted in the Flourish Framework, this space is shaped by those who take part. It is informal, welcoming, and open to anyone who would like to get involved.

Who It’s For: The Community Allotment is open to all, whether you have experience with growing food or are completely new to it.

You might enjoy this space if you:
- Have always wanted to try growing your own vegetables
- Enjoy being outdoors and working with nature
- Are looking to meet people and build local connections
- Want to be part of a shared, community-led project

There is no expectation or prior knowledge needed, just a willingness to take part.

It’s a place where simple things: tea, wellies, soil, and shared effort, help foster a deeper sense of community and care for the world around us.

Why This Space Exists
This Flourish Space reflects a commitment to mutual flourishing: for people, plants, and wildlife.

Inspired by the Flourish Framework, the allotment is rooted in:
Collaboration – working together and learning from one another
Sustainability – caring for the land and encouraging healthy ecosystems
Openness to growth – creating space where new ideas, relationships, and faith can develop

As described in the Flourish Framework, being present in a space is the first step in helping something grow, whether that is food, community, or faith.

You are welcome to join as often or as little as you like.

Get Involved
If you would like to be part of the Community Allotment, we would love to welcome you. Whether you come for the growing, the conversation, or simply to spend time outdoors, there is space for you here.
